Dining Out in Borovets: Top Places to Eat

A hard day on the slopes warrants a good slap up meal afterwards, and while you may be in catered accommodation, heading out for dinner in a local restaurant should be enjoyed at least once during your holiday. While skiing in Borovets, it becomes apparent that Bulgaria offers the wonders of skiing on a budget, but the resort certainly doesn’t shirk on restaurants and eateries. So it may be worth to take a look at some of these highly recommended local places.

Bobby’s Bar
Located in the heart of Borovets and winning a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013, Bobby’s offers eastern European and British food as well as everything in between. Whether you want to pop in for a morning coffee or grab a couple of drinks before last orders, this superb bar will accommodate you and make you feel right at home.

Sunny’s Bar
English-speaking staff and a charming atmosphere help make Sunny’s an awesome option for a visit. Enjoy breakfast in the morning and hearty food served throughout the day to keep your energy up after a stint on the slopes.

Happy Duck
Considered one of the best in Borovets, the Happy Duck is an ideal place to visit whether you want to grab some food (the soups and lamb are big hits) or just chill out at the bar, which is notable as an après ski haunt where you can enjoy a couple of drinks. Live music is scheduled during the week too, adding to the great ambience.

Katy’s Steakhouse
Fancy a good steak? This is a great place to find one. Plus, happy hour between 4pm and 6pm always goes down a storm!

Restaurant Hrima
If you want something a little more authentic, Hrima is the place to go. It provides quality eastern European grub at affordable prices.

Keep the engines stoked during your ski holiday by sampling some of the fab local eats in any of these areas!
