A holiday for some means relaxing by a pool or on a beach without having to think about anything for the duration of their break. They go home refreshed, de-stressed and relaxed. For others, however, no holiday is complete without a large dose of adrenaline, and thrill-seeking is the name of the game when on holiday. If this is you, then Orlando is a great place to visit, as it is theme park central. Take a look at the Co-operative Travel holidays to Florida and decide which of these hair-raising rides you’ll experience first.
Tower of Terror
This ride, in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, does what it says on the tin: scares you silly then bounces you up and down its 199-foot structure. Ride sequences are randomised, so each time is a surprise, adding to the rush and ensuring you leave your stomach behind at least once.
Don’t look down! This roller-coaster at Seaworld is sure to dislodge any secret fear of heights for the simple fact that it’s a ride without a floor. Named after the sea monster, this ride is not for the faint hearted and keeps you on edge from start to finish. Built in 2000, it remains one of the must-ride attractions in Orlando.
This ride is actually two coasters in one, and you should definitely try both runs on a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. First, choose from the Chinese Fireball and the Hungarian Horntail, then strap in ready for an incredible ride whichever you decide on. Then take the secret stairs to ride the other dragon.
With so many theme parks to choose from, there are enough rides to fill your holiday in Orlando from start to finish. Most parks have videos online allowing you to check out the thrills before you even board the plane, so you can make a wish list for your rush-filled adventure in advance to build the excitement even more – if that’s possible!
