Sunrise in Bantayan Island, Cebu

If sunsets are stunning, sunrises are calming. They hold that peaceful magic that reassures you of a great day ahead.

Not everyone can indulge in this fleeting moment every time—God knows how difficult it is to wake up early enough—but those numbered sunrises we see in a year are guaranteed to be breathtaking. On a bus, on a plane, atop a mountain, or in this case, in the company of a calm sea, the sunrise is always something worth waking up for.

I love (and miss) Bantayan Island! Opted to skip the party shores of Bora and head for the quiet beaches of Bantayan for my graduation trip with friends. It’s been five years since that trip but I still have very fond memories of sleeping on the sand under the stars and waking up to a beautiful sunrise in a quiet beach. Great photo! :)

Hi Daene! We haven’t tried sleeping on the sand in Bantayan yet, but it definitely sounds fun! Would love to go back and try it. :)

      Thanks for dropping by!
